New Troop Committee Chairman

After many years of service, Chuck Milam has retired as chairman of the Troop Committee. Don McLellan has volunteered to be our new Chairman. Many thanks to Chuck for all of his hard work over the years, and welcome aboard Don!

Rocket Hike

The first event of the year is the Rocket Hike. It will be held January 8th and 9th at Saddleback Butte State Park. The Webelos Scouts will again be joining us on this hike.

It's time to get those model rockets finished up and ready to fly!

Eagle Court

The second event of the year is Matt McLellan's Eagle Court of Honor. Please plan on attending Saturday, January 15th at 3:30 pm at O'Donnell Center, American Martyrs Church.

The 2000 calendar is enclosed. It is also available on-line at the Troop web site (http://www.troop849.org).

Adult Training Classes

Adult members are strongly encouraged to sign up for BSA backpack, winter backpacking, and/or search and rescue training classes. We are very lucky in Troop 849 because our own award-winning Dick Rose is the instructor.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and help make our outdoor camping program a success.
